Sandra Miller’s paintings
combine rich textural surfaces
with strong glowing color. She
finds inspirational sources in
nature-the sun, rivers, and
gardens. She speaks of
connections between life and art.
There is an atmospheric aura,
with ancient quality that is
created through rich layers of
acrylic paint, polymer medium,
and sawdust or collage
materials.

Artist's Statement
My paintings are a response to life and the environment; several also reflect my vision of heaven. Most of my paintings have an atmospheric aura, with an ancient quality that is created by layering paint, polymer medium, and collage.
The spirit of life possesses me,
I see the sun as an ever-present image in my life:
Shades of yellow abound,
There is a well deep within,
Where rivers flow,
My garden fantasy continues to grow
Into works of art;
Colors speak to me
Of life eternal;
For these, and for the love of life,
I live.
